Here we go...

Well, this blog is intended as a journal of sorts, but also as a way for those of you stuck in the states to follow me along my journey. Once I get back, it will inevitably become bicycle related.

I'm almost all packed, and my itinerary is almost solidified. Planning this trip at the last minute has been more stressful than I could have ever imagined. My only outlets have been at the expense of others, as can be seen in the photo.

Here is the general plan:
-Thursday, October 25th - Depart Denver
-Friday, October 26th - Arrive in London, take a bus to Cambridge to meet up with the lovely Caitlin and Catherine
-Friday to Wednesday - Bum around Cambridge and London
-Thursday November 1st - Early-ass Ryanair flight to Cork Ireland with Caitlin and Catherine, spend the night in Kinsale
-Friday - Drive to Kenmare
-Saturday - The Infamous Ring of Kerry, drop the girls at the Kerry airport for an evening flight. Head to Dingle Ireland where I'll stay at the Cill Bhreac B&B for three nights.
-Sunday, Monday, Early Tuesday - Explore Dingle, hopefully tour around on a bike.
-Late Tuesday - Drive to Shannon airport, drop off car, stay in crappy Park Inn @ the Shannon airport.
-Wednesday, November 7th - Early, early-ass flight from Shannon direct to Paris. Shuttle to Gare L'est. TGV to Metz to meet up with the lovely Laura.
-Wednesday and Thurs - Stay in Metz, explore Pont a Mousson (Laura's village)
-Friday evening - Train to Caen, France with Laura.
-Saturday and Sunday - Explore Normandy. Laura leaves Sunday night.
-Monday morning - Ferry from Caen to Portsmouth, UK, Train to Oxford to stay with lovely Annie.
-Tuesday - Bum around Oxford.
-Wednesday, November 14th -Direct flight from Heathrow to home!
